Travel

Louisiana State University is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Air travel to Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is serviced by American, Delta, United, and US Airways. For travel by car, Baton Rouge is located along Interstate 10.

The LSU School of Music is located at the intersection of Dalrymple Drive and Infirmary Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802.

Driving Directions

From I-10 (option 1)

  1. Exit at Nicholson Dr./Highland Rd. (Exit 155A).
  2. Take Highland Rd. to Dalrymple Dr. (about 1.4 miles).

From I-10 (option 2)

  1. Exit at Dalrymple Dr. (Exit 156B).
  2. From the off-ramp, both eastbound and westbound traffic will turn right onto Dalrymple Dr.
  3. Take Dalrymple Dr. to Highland Rd. (about 0.5 mile).

From I-10 (option 3)

  1. Exit at Acadian Thruway (Exit 157B).
  2. If exiting from the eastbound off-ramp, turn right onto Acadian Thruway.
  3. If exiting from the westbound off-ramp, turn left onto Acadian Thruway.
  4. Take Acadian Thruway (which turns into Stanford Avenue and then into LSU Avenue) to Highland Rd.
  5. Turn right onto Highland Rd.
  6. Take Highland Rd. to Dalrymple Dr. (about 1.8 miles).

From Baton Rouge airport

  1. Get on I-110 S from Veterans Memorial Blvd
  2. Merge onto I-110 S
  3. Merge onto I-10 E and follow the directions from I-10 above.

Parking

Prepaid and daily parking is available at the Union Square Garage on the LSU campus, about a 5 minute walk from the School of Music. As on most college campuses, parking is tight and highly monitored. It is highly recommended that you use this garage for your parking.
