Exhibitor Information

The Southeast Horn Workshop is a regional workshop of the International Horn Society typically with the highest attendance of all the regional workshops. Expect attendence by many college students eager to purchase music and accessories and looking to make major equipment upgrades in the near future. Also expect a good number of adult amateur players, professionals, educators, and younger students. Blocks of the workshop schedule, in addition to meal breaks, will be provided exclusively for visiting exhibits.

Exhibit hours

Anticipated exhibit hours (subject to change) will be:

Crews to help exhibitor setup will be available Thursday night from 69 p.m. and Friday morning from 10 a.m.2 p.m. Crews to assist in tear down will be available 14 p.m. on Sunday.

Each exhibitor receives one free registration for all workshop activities. All exhibitors will have free access to evening concerts.

Exhibitor space

Exhibitors will have display space located on the second or third floor of the Fine Arts building or in the first or second floor of the Performing Arts Center, where many of the concerts, master classes, and lectures will be held. Additional exhibit space maybe set up in the lobbies of either the Performing Arts Center or Bennett Auditorium as needed. Practice rooms for equipment trials are located in both buildings. Separate rooms will be used for instrument and sheet music dealers. Security of exhibit rooms will be maintained during all times exhibits are closed; exhibitors are expected to be present at their tables during all posted exhibit hours. Signs may not be mounted to exhibit room walls. Hallway signs directing attendees to exhibit rooms will be posted by the host.

Cell phone reception and wireless internet access is available. Electrical outlets are available if required.

Each exhibitor may use one or two 8-foot tables for free. There will be $40 charge for exhibitors desiring more tables (available number of tables is subject to space constraints).

Shipping

If you must ship cartons of product ahead of time, arrange for them to arrive on March 24 or 25. Cartons will be stored unopened in a secure location. Our address for shipping couriers is:

Parking and loading

The closest access to the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and Fine Arts Building (FAB) is on Hardy Street, on the north side of the road. Commonly called the dust bowl, the two parking lots on the south side of the street from the PAC—at the intersection of Hardy Street and 31st Avenue—are available for free parking with a pass (marked in orange on the parking map). Metered parking is available on either side of Southern Miss Drive (behind the PAC and FAB), and there are faculty/staff lots behind the PAC. Metered parking is also available at the campus main entrance in front of the Administration Building.

There is a loading dock just south of the faculty/staff lots on the west side of the PAC. It leads directly to the Band Hall on the bottom floor (one of the instrument exhibit rooms). The small parking lot between the PAC and FAB can be used to unload for exhibitors in the FAB. Please use hazard flashers for temporary parking in this area. Street-level access to the FAB and elevators are available are available from Southern Miss Drive.

Advertising opportunities

Website Advertising

All confirmed exhibitors will be advertised free on the Southeast Horn Workshop website. Please reciprocate and advertise our workshop on your own website.

Program Ads

Advertisers may purchase space in the Workshop program booklet. The booklet will be sized 8.5 x 5.5 in. (215 x 139 mm). All ads will be printed in black & white. Email ads in a high-quality electronic format to Heidi Lucas no later than March 1, 2010. Low resolution ads will be rejected.
